About the Position

Opportunity Details

Medicus is collaborating with a reputable hospital in Houston, Texas, with an opening for a Blood Bank Pathologist to provide locum tenens coverage.

Opening Overview:

• Level I Trauma
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p + overnight beeper call
• 24-hour weekend beeper call shifts
• 400-bed hospital
• Duties: Apheresis, red blood cell exchange, transfusion reaction review, coagulation and interpretation testing, and hemoglobin electrophoresis review
• Must be comfortable teaching residents
• Support Staff: Residents, AP/CP pathologists, lab supervisor, lab manager, dedicated quality team, etc.
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses
